Wable
The personal feeds from webapplications like Plazes, Flickr, and Last.fm tell much about the activity of an individual on the internet. In this project we aim to explore how you can visualize the changes of your web identity over time and create a physical link between your virtual and real identity. The interface consists of both a physical table and a web application. This direct feedback from your web identity is customizable and can be connected to any RSS feed.
Update: What you see is the first prototype version of Wable. We are currently building version 2 so keep an eye on our blog or sign up below to find out when it´s released and ready for sale.

Ugh ... ridiculous ... too BIG ... I mean, where are you going to put it? It's 'cute' but ... "Oh honey ... yeah let's dump your Mom's antique coffee table in exchange for this HUGE, space-hog ... it's soooo much better ... I wanna play with these color blocks too! No, no, don't let the KIDS play with the darn thing ... and get your feet off of it!"
Yeeessh. You guys are up there, in your info LAB talking to yourselves. This is a prototype that ENDS here. Gimme a digital 3-d display that works in multiple formats for this sort of information.
Looks cute! At the first shot, I was thinking like "What's the material they are made of?. I've never seen this kind of growing object!". But now I got it. Is it a box going up and down from the table?
Gorgeous. Gives me ideas for my own projects. Thank you, even if Daniel disagrees.
The transmission of information, be it digital or thought, into a tangible format is always an interesting ground for art.
I agree with the others, its damn cute but personally, I think its too big, I thought you had designed some new type of material which made the blocks grow, then I realised justa bunch of pistons under the table pushing it up...
who said you should have it at home??!! its a really nice thing!! the bigger, the better!
I'll agree with Viktor, the bigger the better. Just imagine if the blocks were real high rise buildings. That would, of course, create new problems. If your blog stats are low, you would find yourself living in the basement.
