New media meetup
Attention Stockholm inhabitants. Every now and then our friends over at The Interactive Institute arranges a great meetup for artists, engineers, students and other people interested in new media, art, music, electronics, the web etc. called Fringe. Yesterday the fourth meeting was held over at the Institutes offices in Kista and it was a really good one.
The Brazilian VJ / artist Bete Rum, who is now working for Ericsson, gave an interesting lecture about her work for ex. Nokia. She has done some cool stuff in the São Paulo VJ scene and has also built a social network for clip sharing.
Apart from lectures there were students from a course called Reverse Design at Konstfack displaying their current projects. Among the projects displayed were LED jewellry and circuit bending synthezisers. Head over to the Fringe page and don't miss the next event.
